With patience, determination and some wonderful kit, spider-loving landcarer, Cindy Macardle, has been assiduously photographing the many miniature creatures of Oaklands Wetland for a number of years. In this special presentation, Cindy will use her collection of macrophotography to introduce you to the fast-moving world of insects who now live in and around the wetlands.
She will use her collection of photos to explain:
- the diversity of wetland insects
- interactions between insects and plants
- predator and prey relationships
- symbiotic relationships
- behavioural studies
- conservation, education and tips for field techniques.
MEETING POINT: We will meet in the Oaklands Education Centre on the northwest corner of Oaklands Wetland, 237-265 Oaklands Road. It is a small building behind the skate park car park visible from Oaklands Road.
Come, look and listen as Cindy shares the secret world of the spiderverse.
