Learn from the Green Adelaide Coastal Conservation Officer, Matt Endacott about the butterflies that exist in the region, the ones we would like to encourage through urban greening and how you can assist to make this happen.
Hear from the Friends of Sturt River Landcare, a group of nature-loving residents who came together to grow a natural green corridor where they live, along the Sturt River (Warriparri) on the Adelaide Plains. For over a decade they have worked cooperatively with City of Holdfast Bay and City of Marion, volunteers, and other community groups to replant and connect pockets of local-native plantings around the river. They focus on planting species indigenous to the Adelaide Plains to create habitat, improve biodiversity, provide shade, shelter, and fresh air to help cool our climate and keep our suburbs liveable.
Hosted by City of Holdfast Bay, Friends of Sturt River Landcare and Green Adelaide and open to residents of the City of Holdfast Bay, Mitcham, Marion and Onkaparinga as part of our Resilient South partnership.
