Join Guildhouse, South Australia’s peak body of visual arts, craft and design in creating your own collage inspired by the natural surroundings of the River Torrens/Karrawirra Pari. As the boat travels along the Torrens, participants will be guided through a fun, hands-on activity for the whole family focused on creating nature-themed collages.
The art boat, also known as the Ramsay Floating Art Commission, is a special version of one of the iconic Popeye boats that is covered with an inspiring and evocative artwork. This year’s artwork will be a celebration of all forms of life along the River Torrens/Karrawirra Pari, including the beautiful nature that South Australians are so fortunate to enjoy.
The Ramsay Floating Art Commission is a special public artwork generously given to the people of South Australia by the James and Diana Ramsay Foundation. In its second year, and delivered in partnership with Guildhouse, the art commission celebrates James and Diana Ramsay's special relationship with South Australia and the visual and performing arts throughout their lives.
All workshop materials will be provided on the boat by Guildhouse.
