Nourish yourself with a mindful walk in Clare's hidden gem, the Gleeson Wetlands.
Here's an opportunity to participate in a walk with a difference. The focus is not on getting from A to B as quickly as possible, but in taking the time to thoroughly immerse yourself in your natural surroundings and to build mindfulness skills to enhance your well-being. Use your senses to look, touch, smell, and hear the natural environment before enjoying a morning tea.
We acknowledge that the Gleeson Wetlands are part of Ngadjuri Land and recognise the Ngadjuri people as the traditional and continuing custodians of the land.
The event will include an easy 30 minute walk on flat
ground through the wetlands and at the end there is the opportunity to
learn more about the wetlands themselves and to chat with others over
light refreshments.
The Gleeson Wetlands is an initiative
of the Lions Club of Clare District with support from the Clare &
Gilbert Valleys Council.
Please dress accordingly depending on the weather conditions on the day.
Children of all ages are welcome.
