San Ureshi at Himeji Gardens will feature Zhao Liang on the guzheng (Chinese harp), Satomi Ohnishi on percussion and David Dai on erhu (Chinese violin). It is a unique trio which has evolved from traditional music to contemporary folk, with a touch of culture in their works, such as Japanese, Middle Eastern and Chinese. Since 2019, they have been invited to respond with original works at Art Gallery SA for exhibitions 'True self' in 2021, 'Samurai' in 2020 and 'No God but God' in 2019. Their works are mostly original, written by themselves, and performed with friends at times. Over the years, their works often tell stories, allowing music appreciation for all ages to be easy and enjoyable. They are currently touring with Musica Viva in Schools across Australia with their show 'Life is an Echo'.
This show today will feature Zhao, Satomi and David with friends Karen De Nardi on viola, Alain Valodze on guitars and Monica Myung on cello. Set in beautiful Himeji gardens, feel free to bring a cuppa tea or picnic rug and it will be a lovely outing where you can enjoy with your family, friends, or on your own!
