Tultyurrinthi (Come Together - Kaurna Language) Tiwu (Yellow tailed Black Cockatoo - Kaurna Language)
Join Jade Kartanya Brook, a proud Kaurna Narungga Woman, for a fun-filled, interactive workshop where we celebrate the Tiwu (Yellow-tailed Black Cockatoo) through story, dance, and creating a wonderful headdress to take home!
In this 40-minute workshop, you'll be captivated by Jade's story about a special feather she found and the amazing things she learned from her Elders. We'll explore the Tiwu and its significant role in some First Nations cultures, delving into learning about its habitat and food sources. We'll learn some special dance moves, followed by a creative activity where you'll create your very own headdress to celebrate the Tiwu to take home.
